Definition :
It is an association of qualified allopathic persons registered with a Medical Council in India on the basis of his/her medical qualification as defined in the Indian Medical Degrees Act, 1916 and included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act.
Objectives:
The objectives of the Branch are:
To promote and advance medical and allied sciences in all their different branches and to promote the improvement of public health and medical education in India.
To maintain the honor and dignity and to uphold interests of the medical profession and to promote co-operation among the members thereof.
To work for the abolition of compartmentalism in medical education, medical services and achieve equality amongst all members of the profession.
To take community medical services projects in and around eluru town like organising health camps , eye camps , health Education , family planning and awareness programmes about dreadful diseases like AIDS & Hepatitis B either by IMA along or with the co operation of voluntary organisations ot with Govt. sponsored schemes to create awareness, motivation and health to all in the society.
