O R D E R: ‐
The Associations of Registered Medical Practitioners (RMPs) and Private Medical Practitioners (PMPs) in the State have been representing to the Government to integrate their services in the Health System of the State by providing appropriate training and introduction of a certification system. This subject was discussion in a workshop organized on 27th March, 2008 with the representatives of RMPs / PMPs Associations and Federations besides with the representatives of A.P.Medical Council and A.P. Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (APNA).
2. During the discussions, there was a general view that while there was a need to formally integrate the services of RMPs/PMPs into the Health / Medical system in the State, they should neither call themselves as doctors nor prescribe any schedule drugs. Hon’ble High Court has also issued directions in its order dated 27‐8‐2007 in W.P.No.21526/2005 to consider feasibility of evolving a program of crash training to the RMPs/ PMPs to undertake treatment of a very limited nature duly taking the opinion of the experts in the concerned field into consideration.
3. Government, after careful consideration, hereby constitute an Advisory Committee with the following members:

4. The Committee shall work out modalities for the integration of the services of RMPs / PMPs into the Health / Medical system of the State, duly keeping the legal position in mind. The Committee shall work out the course syllabus, eligibility criteria, certification and supervision system, which should be put in place in order to formalize the services of the RMPs / PMPs in health delivery in the State. The Committee shall also work out the cost implication and a time table for the implementation of the recommendation.
5. The Committee shall submit its report to the Government within a period of (10) days.
6. The Secretary, A.P. Para Medical Board, Hyderabad shall convene the meeting and provide all the relevant material to the members of the Committee so as to furnish a report covering the aspects for which the Committee is constituted.
