It’s happy, that our headquarters has been doing yeomen service to our medical fraternity.
We must appreciate the works done by Dr.S.N.MISRA ji and DR.VINAY AGARWALji.
On behalf of A.P. STATE IMA. I wish you all the success as a president of largest N.G.O. in your future endeavors.
In this context, i would like to bring some of my feelings to your kind notice.
1. Regarding quackery- --- our eluru ima branch and a.p. medical council have Filed petitions against quacks in our A.P. high court in 2006 and we got the order against quacks IN 2007.
Its unfortunate that the hony.supreme court squashed our petition for prohibiting the persons of other system of medicine writing the allopathic drugs.
You know, the supreme court gave the judgment against quacks in 2000 .
Even though the health is the subject of states, What we have to do is, to file a petition of “contempt of court” against the govt. in the supreme court for not honoring that judgment.
2. State govt.s getting the funds for disaster management from the center. As a largest body of N.G.O., we can also request central govt. for this purpose. That way, we can help the local branches by allocating matching grants.
3. Medical education --- its happy to note that we had represented to M.C.I. for more number of P.G. seats.
Nowadays, the post graduate diploma holders are treated as just tutors in their respective faculties. They are not countable as faculty. Why this disparity?
After all they have studied 2 years post graduation course.
Is there any measure to facilitate them to be promoted as teaching faculty after stipulations like – service of 5 years or 7 years as tutor in the same faculty?
Or conducting some exam after doing service for 3 years in the respective faculty?
we have to negotiate this issue with M.C.I., to sort the problem of diminished teaching faculty and it will give a lot more credentials to our association .
