Taking the members collectively to different countries and fulfilling their fancies on one side and managing the necessary arrangements on other side is a some what new task for our state IMA.
You all know, that every international tour program has some rules and rhymes one must follow .
One must take consideration of idiosyncrasies of international air traveling.
Every delegate must honor the group time but not his personal time.
Every delegate must follow the pre-fixed tour itinery which can not be changed by personal whims &fancies.
Taking in to consideration of the above,
We are not leaving the intricacies of the tour, totally in the hands of DC group managers as it leads to embarrassing situations due to their professional discipline and time management. For example, the professional manager does not wait for some person after stipulated time interval. Like that so many embarrassing situations may arise.
The main idea behind this tour is spreading the brotherhood among the delegates and comradeship among the members of IMA.
Reducing the tensions is the top most priority apart from sight seeing.
Learning from mistakes, patience and empathy towards members are necessary ingredients one must have to organize.
Revelation of human psyche, knowing about different cultures and participating in thrilling adventurous sports are some of the highlights of this tour.
Every success have some persons in its background. Off course, we too have our dr.n.appa rao, Dr.L.V.RAGHAVRAO,dr.N.kishore, dr.samaram as main catalysts of this program. IMA-A.P. state conveying its Congratulatory thanks to them.
More than that, the entire credit goes to delegates and their family members for their hearty participation and for bearing our mistakes and tolerating the nuances of air lines.
The deficiencies and lacunas in organization are due to our lack of international travel management. But, we promise that we definitely learn from our mistakes.
Long live IMA.

Five days of fun and enjoyment for 127 Doctors and their families...from the age of 5 to 75, everybody had their methods. For the children of every age, there was excitement at the Tiger sacnctuary, Elephant show and the safari which had the orangutang karate, Dolphin shows etc. For the culturally oriented, there was the world famous TIFFANY SHOW, THAI CULTURAL SHOW AT THE NOONG NOOCH VILLAGE:for the adventurous, there was PARASAILING AND UNDERWATER WALK, MEMBERS DIDNOT WANT TO COME BACK FROM THESE activities. There was excitement every where. The young at heart had their fun and frolic along the WALKING STREET OF PATTAYA full of BeerBars and GO-GO CLUBS,AND OFCOURSE YOU GUESSED IT, THAI VEG AND NON VEG MASSAGE. Our members led by our young Dr.SAMARAM and the President and Secretary had memorable nights out. The ladies had their fill of shopping we thought, but the way they went around in COLOMBO, IT IS AMAZING HOW MUCH THEY ARE STARVED FOR SHOPPING!!! The food was delicious, although Indian, it had Thai flavour to it. Accomodations were of the highest standard, staying in SIAMPURA RESORT AT PATTAYA,and at GRAND MERCURE PARK LANE AT BANGKOK. We had Gala dinners at Pattaya and COLOMBO. We tried our best to visit the COLOMBIO UNIVERSITY, but due to some students strike, we were unable to do so.
After such a perfect holiday, return journey was an anticlimax. Srilankan Airlines had a problem with their major aircraft and due to this they had to reschedule some of our members flights upto COLOMBO. This caused some confusion : but in the end every thing turned out to be alright.
I must say, it was a hard job planning. It keept me awake many a night, especially to schedule the air line tickets and accomodation. In the end we could manage some how,;it was tough answering all those queries, taking in the members frustrations, some unsavoury comments and the difficult decisions of turning away some members..... all these seemed worth while after seeing the pure joy in some members faces and hearing their grateful thanks.
I felt very drained and had a couple of days of total bed rest. After all , I had to obey the orders of High command,my wife KUMKUM.
Before signing off, I had a duty to perform: thanking those who helped me .First of all my wife, who took this as seriously I did and planned the Ladies programmes:DR.N.APPA RAO GARU for his graceful comments and encouragemant:DR.SAMARAM for his down to earth suggestions: DR.N.KISHORE and DR.SRINIVASA RAJU FOR tHeir committed help in planning AND conducting the tour. Mr.Dhiraj and his team of DC HOLIDAYS ,for I have tested their patience and made a great holiday at a very low cost for this Study tour.
The tour was successful because of the overwhelming participation of members. I thank one and all who made this tour a memorable one.
If there are any little shortages, it is all because of me and if you consider the tour to be a success it is all to your credit.
