The govt. of india issued a notification S.O.no. 1468,dated 6th.october-2005,declaring the following devices as drugs and the another notification GSR 627 ( E ) DATED 7-10-2005 FURTHER DECLARED THAT THESE DEVICES ARE REQUIRED TO be licenced to manufacture for sale or distribution by drugs controller general of india.
1.both drug eluting and non eluting cardiac stents.
2. intraocular lenses
3.catheters.
4.I.V.CANNULAE
5.HJEART VALVES.
6.BONE CEMENT
7.INTERNAL PROSTHETIC ELEMENTS
8.ORTHOPEDIC IMPLANTS.
9.SCALP VEIN SETS.
