Respected Sir,
Greetings to you all for IMA CGP HQ Chennai. On behalf of IMA College I am privileged to seek your enhanced support and active promotion of capacity building course of the College. In this era of specialization, it is mandatory the good old concept of Family Practitioners has to be restored to strengthen the Community oriented, comprehensive continued health care at affordable cost, in our Rural India.
I am pleased to inform you sir, on 11th April the College of GP India will sign the MOU with Royal College of GP London at Chennai, to conduct the MRCGP (International) in India. This will enable the General practitioners of country to appear for both Part I and Part II MRCGP in India at Chennai. The preparative continuing Medical Education programme for this Postgraduate degree in Family Medicine reciprocally recognized by MCI and it can be organized at each state through your CGP Faculty.
I also request your support to enroll, the apt candidates for the Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Medicine, a joint venture of George Washington University USA and College of GP IMA. Here too apart from the online and multimedia coaching’s, mandatory 3 days hands on training can be organized by recognized centres in each State. Empanelment application is available in our website.
Hope you have seen the broucher of various courses of our College and if your state faculty can run these fellowship courses, the needed help, support in terms of study materials and exams will be done by our HQ and clinical and contact training programme has to be organized by the state faculty.
We are going to publish a monthly news letter of our College, to reach out to all the branches in India and I will be happy to publish your state activities with regards to the College in this news letter.
I also seek your support to encourage the General practitioners of your state to write articles, to our Family Medicine Journal. We are looking forward to have more Fellows and Hon. Professors from your State.
As you know the membership fee is Rs. 2000/- including Life subscription for Family Medicine Journal of India, and of this Rs.600/- will be send back to the state faculty/sub faculty. Kindly motivate your members to join our College.
