FIT NESS MANTRA FOR ALL !



OUR THEME FOR THIS YEAR YOU ALL KNOW- "BE IN HEALTH & BE ACTIVE IN PUBLIC HEALTH".

How to be fit both mentally , physically & morally ?

you know that we have five levels of existence and we used to limt our consciousness focussed on that level for which we are giving utmost importance.


For physical fitness : balanced diet providing 2000 calories/day, all essential aminoacids,essential omega-3 fatty acids, anti-oxidants and other micro nutrients especially arginine,proline, vitamins- C,E,A&D,B12&FOLATE,Zinc,magnesium,iodine,iron,calcium.


HOW TO GET THESE DAILY ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS ?after some research we have evolved this PLAN :

7a.m.- one glass RAGI AMBALI, 3 IDLI,LIGHT COFFEE.

9 a.m. : 2 cups of veg.salaad & one cup sprouts, half cup dry fruits or 1/4th.cup nuts.

1p.m.: 2 cups of any veg.salaad & 2 cups of pure fruit salaad and skimmed butter milk.

5p.m. : 3 slices brown bread with spread of 3 spoons honey & one spoon cinnamon powder and one cup green tea.

9p.m. : 2 cups rice or 3 pulkas, 2 cups green leaf or veg.curry or one cup chicken curry/ tandoori ( avoid fry) and one cup veg.salaad, one cup skimmed curd.

tips : 1.use black salt instead of white sea salt&drink plenty- 5litre of water. 2. better to take food during lunch instead of at dinner,but after analysing so many doctor's habbits i advised the menu like above. 3. screen periodically for cardiac biomarkers, direct LDL (not calculated), homocystein,C reactive protein,apolipoproteins, A1c & TSH. 4. take supplementation of vit-C,E,D,FOLIC ACD,B12. 5. maintain BMI below 25.

6. maintain LDL below 70, triglycerides below 70 , BP 110/80 , H1c below 6 , blood glucose below 100 and TSH below 3.

with getting physical fitness, we have to practise mental fitness : good emotional quotient is the most important for our success and happiness in life. hurry & worry results in adrenal shoots leading to insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome. controlling the arishadvargaas- kama,krodha,lobha,mooha,mada, maatsaryaas results in mental fitness.LOVE & SERVE are two positive attitudes of the mind that can be practised to nullify the negative virtues of the mind. its summed up in one sentence as --- bringing our autonomous medulla into voluntary control by the discriminative cognitive cortex by repetetive suggestions.


tips : 1.practise regularly to control anxiousness, worry and reflexive reactions, 2. emotional detachment but not duty detachment. 3. sit in one calm place,concentrate on any object- may be your breath, may be on root of the nose, may be on any chakra,may be on idol of god,may be on any positive character for 15 minutes per day. 4. prolonged concentration leads to meditation.5.be active & proactive but not reactive to the external stimuli.

practise these virtues and our mind will tuned to be calm & composed.


what is moral fitness ? morality is concerned with interaction of humans with the other living beings & nature. when we talk about moral values on the planes of good and bad which are depending on country,culture ,customs and period of time. "Things & actions those are harmful to our selves, to others,to the nature are used to define as bad morals".
all living beings have basic instincts- craving for food,shelter,security,progeny,expanding the ego -for the survival of the fittest. In this universe, humanoid species evolved to a stage where morality decides the direction & next step in evolution. different philosophers treading different paths for mankind. what is the best suitable shall be known ONLY by individual capacity and understanding.
TO BE FIT MORALLY WE HAVE TO DISCARD BAD MORALS AND CULTIVATE GOOD MORALITY TOWARDS THE SOCIETY.

The pranic fitness and spiritual fitness are out of reach for this article and if any body interested we will discuss in due course of time.
