MEDI-BYTES :

1. A team of scientists of the National Immunology Institute of India, led by Avdesh Surolia, has developed a fresh approach to insulin injection wherein 'Supramolecular Insulin Assembly-II (SIA-II)', a form of the hormone, is used for a sustained treatment of diabetes mellitus type-I.

Diabetics, who need insulin injections daily, may now hope for some relief with The above molecule of the hormone that can keep blood glucose levels down for upto three months.

2. Four major state run insurance companies namely United India, New India, Oriental Insurance and National Insurance have decided to stop cash-less hospitalization at the select hospitals across the country.

According to an official of the Insurance Company, “the hospitals -(all big corporate hospitals) - make false claims. They show high costs and charge the insurance companies so much more. That is why they have taken away the facility from some hospitals.

thats why , IMA pleads all insurance companies to em panel small rural hospitals in their network, which will definitely facilitate common man ,insurance company and the rural doctors as their fees are comparatively cheaper and with in the reach of rural people.

if treatment cost comes down,it will benefit the insurance companies and the premium also can be reduced which will benefit the common man.
