IMA CWC MEET HIGH LIGHTS :

update on 203rd. CWC meeting held at mehsana, ahmedabad.

IMA stands in "unity" in this hour of crisis. if MCI is brain of the medical fraternity, IMA is the heart .

IMA desh ki vaidyoon ki dhadkan.

Even though MCI never cares for the objectives of our association, in these hard times IMA stood unitedly, strongly to support the basic autonomy of the Prestigious institution to monitor quality of medical education of india i.e. MCI.

IMA passed the Resolutions in this CWC Meet after marathon deliberations as follows :

1. IMA strongly condemns the govt.action of appointing / nominating the 6 member panel in place of elected MCI body. its nothing but, blatant violation of autonomy of MCI and its one of the nasty retrograde step resembling -" burning the house to kill the rat" and politicisation of the medical education. IMA decided to observe "protest week" from 28-6-10 onwards in supporting of autonomy of MCI. IMA urges the govt. to call elections to constitute the body of MCI, IMMIDIATELY.

2. IMA vehemently opposed and condemned the passing of clinical establishment regulation bill and urges the govt. to stall this beurocratisation & inspector raj of private health care.

3. IMA once again stands on its past decission of opposing the concept of BRMS which WILL result in mushrooming of EDUCATED QUACKS in future. The govt COMPROMISING with EQUITY of HEALTH CARE policy and jeoparadising the paramedical personnel who are waiting endlessly to be posted in sub-centers to address the rural first-aid.
